Fees and Application 2022 Please apply early. Space limitations and musical balance may make it necessary to cap the number of participants. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. If an orchestral or vocal section is full, applicants will be placed on a waiting list. Please read this page carefully to review fees and policies. Fees Fees are per person, per week. Resident fees include accommodation, all meals and snacks, tuition and admission to concerts. Day student fees include lunch, dinner, snacks, tuition and admission to concerts. All participants are required to be members of WCAMS
* The student rate applies to adults 19-25 in full-time attendance at a post-secondary institution. ** There are a very limited number of private rooms with private bathroom in the Peaks residences.
Children There is no program for children who have not yet completed grade 3. Children under six attend without charge; a nominal food charge (TBD) for children entering grades 1 to 3 will be applied.
COVID-19 policy We understand that the province of British Columbia may no longer have a covid-19 vaccine mandate in place during the week of camp. However, due to the demographics of participants, we will be requiring a proof of full vaccination, or else proof of exemption at registration on Sunday, July 17. If you are unable to show proof of vaccination or proof of exemption at the time of registration, you will not be able to check in. Furthermore, there will be no refunds of any money paid towards camp.
Registration and Payment Once your application has been accepted, the registrar will be in contact with you to send you an invoice and tell you how you can pay your fees. Payment options will be by cheque or by Interac.
Payment policy:
Financial Assistance Financial assistance is available to those who find that the fees are a barrier to participation. Scholarship recipients will have all or part of the tuition portion of their camp fees waived. Bursary recipients will have all or part of their camp fees waived for reasons of financial hardship. Criteria used for awarding Scholarships and Bursaries:
Under 19's All children and students 18 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult chaperone over 18
who will assume full responsbility for the child/student while at camp.
A completed waiver form must be submitted for each child/student which must be signed by the parent or legal guardian. Chaperones who are not the parent or legal guardian of the child should ensure that the waiver form is completed before arriving at camp.
Application Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to space in your instrument/voice section. Upon receipt of your application, the Registrar will send you a confirmation and a summary of the fees due. Payments can then be made by cheque or on-line bank deposit (instructions will be provided). If your instrument or voice section is full, you will be put on a waiting list. We no longer accept paper applications. If you are unable to complete an on-line form, please call our "Info Line" (250-382-2781) and someone will assist you in submitting a camp application.
